Book Review: As a Man Thinketh

Offering the best ROI from any book I’ve read in the last few years, “As a Man Thinketh” is a simple lesson in how your character is nothing more than the sum total of all your thoughts.  Improve the quality of your thoughts, and you will literally become a better person.

The books’s profound and deeply satisfying message jibes very closely with the philosophies of Anthony Robbins, who recommended the book during his Unleash the Power Within seminar in New Jersey last week.

The Kindle edition of this 20-page book cost me exactly one dollar, and I was able to read the whole thing in less than 40 minutes.  I plan to read it again soon to remind myself of the power of thought to change the world.

The man in this picture was my great, great grandfather, W.S. Koogler. That’s my great grandfather in the stroller.  He coined the name “Billy the Kid” in an article he wrote about that now infamous outlaw in the Las Vegas Independent. See below…
Dec. 3, 1880—-W. S. Koogler, editor of the Las Vegas Independent, writes an article about the lawlessness throughout the territory andbasically casts all the blame on Billy Bonney, who he calls ”Billy theKid.” This marks the first time that this soon to be infamous monikeris used in print.

Mahalo’s New Twitter Integration Will Be a Search Traffic Goldmine

by ryanpetersen February 25, 2009

Mahalo just launched a service that let’s you submit a question via twitter, which will then be answered by a real person in a crowd sourced sort of way.

My question today was simply “how often does the average person clip their finger nails?” — something I’ve been wondering because I swear I’m having to do this way too often.

About two hours later I googled those exact words and my question on mahalo was not only the first result, but had already been answered by two peoplewho were paid 25 mahalo cents each. Here’s the page.

I don’t know what a mahalo cent is worth and have not researched the econmics of payibg for this type of long tail cotent creation, but I gaurantee this is going to lead to huge amounts of traffic for the site.

Brilliant work Mr. Calacanis.
